Horrible service! I know someone that walked in paid $200 for a pair of shoes cash! 10 minutes later tried to return them, unused obviously and they would not refund his money! It's against store policy! Really? Well doing business with a place that will not do refunds is against my policy! Buyers beware!!!! I would not buy one thing from this frekn store!
I could've went to finish line or somewhere like that but I wanted something different. I was looking to purchase at least 3 pairs of shoes. We walk in, and no one greets us. They are talking among themselves. After about 20 minutes of browsing, I asked for a size. The guy goes to the back and comes back and say "nah we ain't got those", and proceeded to continue to talk to the other guy. He didn't offer another shoe or ask if we liked something else.... Needless to say, we didn't purchase anything.... Where is the customer service?

Let me just start by saying first and foremost i used to live in this neighborhood and shopped here in an effort to support my community, but this store should be shut down. This city gear is one of the worst ones in the city, and it has nothing to do with the area. The magnitude of the ignorance and horrible customer service should warrant a city inspection, and at the very least everyone should be fired and replaced with people more thankful to have a job. Let me begin with the ghetto loud mouthed woman behind the counter, who is focusing on the music, dancing, and talking so much that you have to wait until all these activities cease to pay for your purchase. Parents let me make this very clear, this is not a child friendly place. It is clear that every employee is under the influence of some kind or recreational drug. The clerks are so "high" and disoriented that they cannot correctly bring your size, or assist you in finding anything. You are better off going on a search of the store on your own, you would yield far better results than asking for help. Last but not least the assistance over the phone is absolutely rude and ignorant. The employee is more interested in hurrying you off the phone so they can continue whatever they were doing before, which is clearly more important than gaining a new customer or answering a regular one's question. I read the previous statement about "store taking stolen credit cards" and that would not surprise me at all, this store has an air of criminals and ghetto individuals who are content in not showing even the essential manners to customers who are spending money with them. These people at is if they do not realize you are spending hard earned money in these economic times. The very least expected is common courtesy when making a purchase that pays their checks, which you will not find at city gear on american way. If you want tennis shoes DO NOT BUY THEM HERE. If you want clothes DO NOT BUY THEM HERE. If you want anything DO NOT BUY IT HERE because you will not be treated with respect or common decency. in a word this store is run by children and very unintelligent adults who are more interested in partying than customer service. If i were the owner of CITY GEAR i would take this comment into account because i am just saying what soo many patrons feel, but then again he is probably some pompous ex drug dealer himself. save the drive and order whatever you would buy here online.
