We love Motel 6 and its pet friendly policy as we always travel with our dogs. We have stayed with you at least 6 times so far this year and have had no issues....but this location was questionable for future visits.
Could not get the desk person to try and accommodate us with a first floor room. I explained that I have a disabled wife and traveled with two dogs. There were probably eight cars total in the lot. Room was ok. Shower curtain looked to have been ripped down at one point and lazily repaired. It barely stayed on the bar. The tub was covered in cigarette burns. We had asked for a no smoking room since my wife has lung issues. I guess the room is considered non-smoking if the occupants for the night are not smokers. We had just spent 22 hours on the road relocating from California to Tennessee. We were too tired to put up a fight. Rest assured, we hope that we never put ourselves in a situation where we have to return to that hotel.
The rate is awesome, the room is clean, the personal seem nice. I was able to actually get some sleep since my neighbors weren't loud, no road noise or train noise either. Card reader on door didn't work so I had to get the office staff to let me into my room with their master key if I left to get food or swim. No shampoo in the room and none available. 2 towels only. A king sized bed.
It offers free WiFi, dish satellite TV and an outdoor swimming pool!! It's located near the local police station and there are always officers patrolling or sitting in the parking lot at almost any given time which makes me feel safe. It's close to gas stations and convenient stores and the interstate in several directions. Lastly, it's the best priced motel in the city and you aren't going without.
My room was very clean however around one o'clock my daughter woke me up crying saying a bug was crawling on her in that it bit her I asked her were it was and she said it ran under the covers, I pulled the covers back and bed bug infested big in small some were so small you could only see with a flash light...I told management he came to my room only to find a feeding ground he offer to give me another room but after what I saw I was more than done I ask for a refund and he said I could only get half back that was fine since we were there half the night..then I asks was I the first to complain of bed bugs he told me no they had a complaint about two weeks ago but they did the treatment in they should have been gone but um like why did you keep the bed...anyway my point is do not stay here bed bug will get into your belongs and come home with you!!!! Oh and to top if off there was blood spots at the bottom of the bed they weren't mind for a fact I slept on top of the cover and they wasn't my daughter she not tall enough to reach the foot of the bed makes me question do they change the sheets
Great price, good location to work/hospital. Room however showed wear, had a few dead bugs but nothing to make us worry. The bed had nice clean linen, comfy pillows and blankets....BUT....the mattress was so uncomfortable that it will make us think twice before staying at this location again.
